Our story
Strata UAV is a family business founded in 2026 by two brothers based in Carlsbad, California. We built Strata UAV because we believe the next twenty years of specialty-crop spraying in San Diego County will be flown by drones, and we want to be the team growers trust to do it right.
Why we invested in two drones, not one
Most drone spraying operators run one aircraft and spray everything the same way. We took a different approach from day one: we operate the newest generation of DJI precision ag equipment — the Agras T50 for spraying and the Mavic 3 Multispectral for scouting — because that pairing is what turns a spray job into a precision-ag service. You get a grove-by-grove health map, a variable-rate prescription, a flight, and a report. One workflow. One invoice.
What we promise
We're FAA Part 107 and Part 137 licensed, CA DPR Qualified Applicators, and fully insured with aviation liability coverage. Every job is backed by our re-fly guarantee: if something goes wrong on our end, we come back and fly it again at no additional charge. We work within 100 miles of Carlsbad and we're growing one satisfied grower at a time.
